Description

Hello, I am trying to run Sourcebans from my home server...

It runs fine from my remote website but when I try to run it on my home server I see a lot of errors and I cannot log into admin...

Error Message;
Errors I get are Ajax Call Failed!

Example of Error from retrieving server info query;
Error: the XML response that was returned from the server is invalid. Received: Error connecting (99.158.234.165:27045)]]>N/AN/AN/ANo players in the server
IP:Port - 99.158.234.165:27045
]]>if($('sid_9'))$('sid_9').setStyle('color', '#adadad');N/A

Maybe I need to activate something on my webserver?

Here is my home server address
http://99.158.234.165/sourcebans/

Here is the program I am using it includes Appache, PHP5 and more
http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

I am running a Server 2008 windows system

I can run websites and other amxbans fine...

The main reason I am running this from home is because my webhost closed all the ports I need to query the servers...

I am trying to find a solution for this issue...

Is this still a problem? I can't think of anything that could cause this.

When you run this scripted it requires something to run the ajax on a server correctly! It's server side because the windows apachefriends/Xampp package doesn't support something for ajax scripting yet from what I read in their forums...

Try it yourself if you get it running let me know otherwise I'll just use my remote linux hosting until they fix it!

Here is what I am using on my home Windows server www.apachefriends.org You can run it on any windows computer to test stuff or run a webserver!

All I ask is please try it on a widows machine see if you have the same issues...

Thank You!

We have had SourceBans working correctly on windows. There is nothing special that the server needs to run AJAX. The most work is done by the browser. As long as it supports XMLRPC (which most do) it will be fine.

I have the same problem on our site: http://www.sourcebans.ru

There is no problems in Opera, but in IE there is an ajax error.

I think the problem is beacause of cirrilic symbols in hostname. How could it be solved?

i don't see that problem anymore on your site, Martin Weltchek? how did you resolved it?

@Dmitry Gartung: i don't see any errors as well? what was the hostname that caused the error?

The last two updates cured my issues! The SVN updates... As you see like Olly pointed out between 1.3.0 - 1.3.1 fixed the issue I was having. So if you get all those Ajax issues I suggest you try the latest SVN Trunk...

Dmitry is still using 1.2.0 though. I got it on his server page when I tried it in IE7 on the 21st, but now it's gone too.
